Paul Halley

Web & Content Manager • Digital Enthusiast

Professional Biography

Paul Halley is an experienced web content manager and CMS editor based in New York. He is interested in how communications, information, and technology work together to help create engaging public-facing websites within organizational settings.

Most recently, Paul completed a five-month project as Content Production Specialist with the Mellon Foundation in New York City, the nation’s largest grantmaking organization for arts and culture programs in the U.S. Paul helped manually migrate content from Mellon’s legacy website to a new content management system, Contentful. Paul managed the content entry process on Monday, a project management tool, by tracking both high-level and granular tasks. Additionally, as the test-driver of Mellon’s instance of Contentful, Paul developed CMS training materials for Mellon’s communications and content teams, highlighting editorial considerations associated with technical functionality.

Before that, Paul worked as a project assistant on the web team at the New York State Department of Labor. Owning the development and recreation of two major menu sections, Paul assisted in the overhaul, launch, and initial maintenance of NYS DOL’s agency website from 2020 to 2022.

Paul earned his bachelor’s degree in English Writing in 2018 from SUNY Potsdam. He interned at the College Libraries & Archives and College Writing Center, created digital-archival content for the SUNY Potsdam Bicentennial Celebrations, and presented at the 2016 Undergraduate Research Conference.
